I had the pleasure of starting 2019 off with a bang. I have initiated my first literary agent queries and I can officially say that I am mentally and emotionally prepared for the ups and downs that come with the publishing world. I will be the first to admit I have been stalking my in-box. In a weird way, I want to get that first rejection over with, knowing it will move me closer to my ultimate goal. I’m not sure if it is a good or a bad thing that I don’t even have a reaction planned for if my first response is somewhat positive.
Whatever the result, I know this is going to be an amazing year. Part of success is the journey and I plan on enjoying every minute of it! Sure, I have some huge mountains to climb, but I know I am closer to the top than I was yesterday.
