Shar
Shar is one of the bravest kids you will ever meet. Her quick wit and bold commentary help to keep her friends focused on the task at hand. Her love of chemistry is infectious, and she is always ready for an engaging experiment. Shar's love of chemistry extends to many other hobbies, including baking. Shar's little brother has a nut allergy, which has led her to become an expert in safe food substitutions and helped everyone to see how chemistry impacts our everyday lives.
Terrence
While Terrence is often the voice of reason for Marcus and Chase, he still knows how to have a great time. His love of the environment and animals often manifests in him being an all around kind and gentle soul. He is an expert in model building and mechanical design. Terrence is learning daily that dyslexia can be as much of an advantage as it is a challenge with reading and spelling. He demonstrates regularly that models and working prototypes are some of the best ways to make big ideas become a reality.
Ebony
When you don't find Ebony in deep contemplation, you can find her gazing at the stars. Ebony loves all things astronomy and astrophysics, with rockets thrown in for good measure. Ebony loves to explain how constellations, planets, and moons got their names from Greek and Roman mythology. She loves building rockets and launching them in open fields. Ebony also has a lot to teach about living in two worlds, or at least two homes, at the same time. Ebony's model for living is definitely when life gives you lemons, make rocket fuel!
Akiya
Sure, we can always use our phones to ask the built in AI a quick question, but who needs that when you have Akiya as a friend? Akiya is a walking encyclopedia due to being a prolific reader and deep thinker. Her knowledge isn't just about things or ideas, her passion for geography and understanding the world and people around her gives true heart to the information she passes on to others. Akiya also gets to show the world that triumph can come tragedy and that we don't have to be defined by our darkest hour. Akiya demonstrates regularly that the most beautiful sound in the world is a tween that learns to laugh again.
Marcus
Marcus is one half of the dynamic cousin duo known by their friends and family as, "Lightning and Thunder". Marcus is called Lightning due to his quick wit, his ability to make an impact where ever he goes, and his ability to set up a practice joke and leave the scene before anyone notices. Of course, he can always capture the reaction of his friends to another fun trap he set up for them with his faithful drone. However, Marcus isn't all fun and games, he is also the youngest kid to ever receive a valid drone license - which gives him the privilege of flying his drone in almost all places. His dedication to emerging technology is so strong he has had a subscription to Scientific America since he first learned to read. He also finds that there can be downsides to being known as the "class clown", and getting people to take you seriously can be difficult when you just had them laughing so hard they spit milk out their nose.
Chase
The "Thunder" side of the dynamic cousin duo, Chase loves all things computer science - from programming to app design. His friends appreciate his skills and take him up enthusiastically on his offers to bring their various ideas to life. Chase also loves playing basketball and trying to start new fashion trends - he is confident that ties with tee shirts will catch on one day! Chase has also faced challenges due to being a profoundly gifted kid. In fact, he was almost mislabeled as a trouble-maker until his parents found the right fit at the Global Academy, and Chase found a group of friends who also love to see just how far their passions can take them. Now the "Lightening and Thunder" can experiment and entertain while also learning exciting new things of their own.
